Microsoft tests android-to-PC screen-mirroring feature

Microsoft rolled out a new feature which lets selected users run Android apps from a smartphone while mirroring it on their PCs.

In a report by pcmag.com, users owning a Surface Go tablet, Samsung S8, S8+, S9 or S9+ phone can try out the test feature by using the latest Windows 10 Insider on their Surface Go tablet; and Microsoft’s Your Phone app for the Samsung phones.

Microsoft is reportedly planning to expand the list of PCs and Android phones that will support the said feature, but it is expected to be available only to PCs that support “Bluetooth with Low Energy Peripheral mode”, and those running Windows 10 build 1803 or later.

Meanwhile, smartphones need Android 7.0 or higher to be able to utilize the feature.
