Niantic on Thursday (December 22, 2016) announced that the augmented reality game Pokémon Go is now available on the Apple Watch.
As noted by Niantic, players who will play Pokémon Go on Apple Watch will be able to access quick taps to discover nearby Pokémon and collect items from PokéStops. The company also said that players can log their play sessions on the Apple Watch as a Workout that will count toward their personal Activity rings.
Niantic noted that the Apple Watch is well suited to Pokémon Go as “it seamlessly combines gameplay and imagination with getting exercise and exploring the real world.”
It was in last September when Niantic announced that Pokémon Go is coming to the Apple Watch.
