U.S. government removes Kaspersky Lab from the list of approved vendors

Russian cyber-security firm Kaspersky Lab has been removed from two lists of approved vendors that can be used by US agencies following concerns that the security firm has links with authorities in Russia.

Company CEO and cofounder Eugene Kaspersky said he is willing to testify before Congress and turn over his company’s source code to prove their neutrality.

The security firm added that it has “never helped, nor will help, any government in the world with its cyberespionage efforts.”
