Michael Ngan, Country General Manager, Lenovo Philippines, presented Angeli Nicole Portigo, Grand Lady Asclepian, Order of Asclepius (OA) of West Visayas State University’s College of Medicine with a Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 as a token for winning the 2014 Most Innovative Project award at the recent Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) Awards Foundation, Inc. Ceremony.
OA, which regularly conducts free medical and surgical missions and spearheads health campaigns, was honored at the TAYO Awards for its two-part video package,Order in Action: Videos for Health Skills (OAVHS). OAVHS features instructions for basic first aid along with skills to monitor vital signs. These videos will educate rural communities’ and address concerns regarding limited access to basic health care in such locations.
