For the first time since 2000, Microsoft’s market capitalization hit $500 billion, said a report from Reuters.
According to the report, the Redmond-based tech giant saw its shares rose by as much as 2.1 percent to $65.64 in early trading on Friday (January 27, 2017), which gave the company a market value of $510.37 billion. It was in March 2000 when Microsoft last posted a market value of more than $500 billion.
The good news for Microsoft came after it released its solid second-quarter financial results on Thursday (January 26, 2017).
