Mark Hurd, CEO of Oracle and former CEO of Hewlett-Packard has died. He was 62. The sad news happened after a month Hurd took a leave of absence for some health reasons. Oracle’s founder and chairman Larry Ellison was saddened by the news.
“Mark was my close and irreplaceable friend, and trusted colleague. Oracle has lost a brilliant and beloved leader who personally touched the lives of so many of us during his decade at Oracle.’ Ellison wrote in an email to employees of Oracle.
Hurd is survived by his wife, Paula Kalupa, and their two daughters, Kathryn and Kelly.
