PLDT Inc. announced the appointment of Menardo “Butch” Jimenez Jr. as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective September 17, 2024. The decision was made by the company’s Board of Directors.
Jimenez, a seasoned PLDT veteran with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of the Philippines, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He has held various leadership positions within the company, including Senior Vice President and Network Head, where he oversaw significant operations.
Prior to his appointment, Jimenez served as Consumer Business Home Advisor, providing strategic guidance for PLDT’s home services segment. He has also led the Consumer Business Home unit, overseeing consumer engagement and business growth.
Throughout his career, Jimenez has contributed to PLDT’s digital transformation and organizational development. His previous roles include Deputy Business Transformation Office Head, Human Resource and Development Head, Retail Business Head, and Media Communications and Public Affairs Head.
