After multiple speculations, Apple has finally revealed the new MacBook Pro, dubbed as the “thinnest and lightest MacBook Pro ever.”
The refreshed MacBook Pro comes with innovations highlighted by the new Touch Bar display located on top of the keyboard. The Touch Bar replaces the traditional row of function keys and adapts based on the app that is operating.
In a blog post, Apple explained that if a user is using Safari, the Touch Bar will show Tabs and Favorites or it will enable easy access to emoji when the Message app is open.
Aside from the innovative Touch Bar feature, the new MacBook Pro also includes a brighter and more colorful Retina display, support for Touch ID, a more responsive keyboard, a larger Force Touch trackpad and an audio system with twice the dynamic range.
In addition, Apple is marketing the new MacBook Pro as its most powerful MacBook Pro ever, with sixth-generation quad-core and dual-core processors, up to 2.3 times better graphics performance, super-fast SSDs, and up to four Thunderbolt 3 ports.
The new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar comes in 13-inch and 15-inch models with prices starting at $1,799 and $2,399 respectively. A 13-inch entry-level MacBook Pro is also being offered at a starting price of $1,499.
These MacBook Pro models are all available for pre-order today.
