Smartphone penetration in the Philippines continues to see exponential growth, prompting Yondu, an IT and mobile services company, to offer an extensive range of solutions for businesses. This makes Yondu the only technology partner that enterprises need to take their businesses to the next level.
From custom software and mobile app development, to IT staffing and ready-made applications, Yondu caters to every business need of various industries.
“Today’s customers are always on the move and they want to get their hands on information, products and services instantly,” said Yondu General Manager Joan Peñaflorida. “We ensure that our clients are equipped with the technology and tool to answer their customers’ wants and needs.”
Among the companies utilizing Yondu’s expertise is Globe Telecom, the country’s number one mobile brand. True to its commitment to enrich the smartphone experience of subscribers, Globe via its mobile money subsidiary, G-Xchange, Inc., (GXI) partnered with Yondu to develop the GCash mobile app which allows GCash services to be accessed via an easy, customer-friendly way.
“As an industry leader, we’re always looking at customer insights to identify gaps in the market and find new and innovative ways of addressing them,” said GXI Marketing Director Franchette Chingcuanco-Cardona. “After the app’s launch, GCash grew from having a little over a million users to more than two million.”
Globe and Yondu designed the GCash mobile app to allow consumers to send and receive money, buy load, make purchases in the Philippines or abroad, and pay for their bills, among other things via their mobile phones. It also has a Moneybook feature that allows consumers to track their spending and view their transactions immediately.
A user can easily fund his GCash account by cashing-in via Globe Stores, GCash partner outlets like SM Department Stores, Puregold, Villarica, Tambunting and rural banks; Mobile Phone Banking; Online Bank Transfer, BancNet ATMs, and BPI branches nationwide.
Globe also worked with Yondu for its I.T. staffing requirements. Yondu provided Globe with I.T. experts to create another innovative service, Globe Charge.
Globe Charge is a mobile card reader that turns Android- and iOS-based smartphones or tablets into credit card terminals, which can accept MasterCard and Visa-branded credit and debit cards. The most innovative payment solution to date, Globe Charge also bagged the award for Best Mobile Payment Implementation in the recently held Smart Awards Asia 2015 at the Cards & Payments Conference in Singapore, besting 10 other finalists from across Asian markets.
Companies like Globe are assured to meet their business objectives with Yondu, whether through innovative software and mobile apps or through creative developers who will build systems for them.
