News Feed on Facebook was designed to let it users to catch up with their friends and other things that interests them. However, the News Feed has also become a venue for hoaxes that most Facebook users find annoying.
Facebook has been doing its best to limit the hoaxes we see on the site. They recently added an option for people to report a story on their News Feed that they find as false or misleading. And now, they announced another update to solve the problem.
News Feed will now take into account when many Facebook users flag a post as flags. The distribution of these posts in the News Feed will then be decreased. These posts will also be annotated with a message that warns people that other users have reported it.
