Apple is set to release a (Product) RED special edition of their iPhone 8 and iPhone Plus to support Global Fund HIV/AIDS grants .
According to a report of techspot.com, part of the proceeds of the special edition smartphone which features a a red glass back matching its aluminum band around the edges will go to the Global Fund to support its testing, counseling, treatment and prevention programs.
Since 2006, Apple has been a partner and the largest corporate donor of RED which aims to eliminate virus transmission from mothers to babies in specific African countries.
The (Product) RED iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be available online on April 11 and in stores on April 13 with a starting price of $699.
