Microsoft has entered into an enterprise agreement with Solar Entertainment Corporation (SEC) to improve productivity and communication within the media organization.
Solar Entertainment Corporation has continuously grown in the past year, making it one of the largest channel operators in the Philippines. Its continued expansion has resulted in an increase in the number of workforce that has brought a number of expected challenges in their operations.
As Solar Entertainment Corporations’ employees were becoming more mobile, they were also becoming much more collaborative. Given that a number of their people work offsite, they needed a highly secure solution that would empower them to be productive while on-the-go and enable them to seamlessly communicate with each other beyond just sending emails back and forth.
To address all these, Solar Entertainment Corporation has decided to deploy Office 365—Microsoft’s cloud-based productivity suite, which is currently gaining popularity among local businesses.
Office 365 offers a number of great collaboration tools such as enterprise-grade email, group sites and portals through SharePoint, instant messaging and conferencing through Lync, as well as a highly secure enterprise social network through Yammer. Users also benefit from online versions of Microsoft’s unmatched productivity applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
“At Solar Entertainment Corporation, we strive to continuously provide innovative services to our customers, and we make it our mission to ensure that our people are able to leverage on the best and the latest innovations – such as Cloud – to significantly innovate the way they work in this digital age,” said Wilson Tieng, President, Solar Entertainment Corporation.
“Microsoft Philippines is thrilled to be working with Solar Entertainment Corporation and becoming part of their journey towards transforming and reimagining their business through groundbreaking solutions such as Office 365,” said Dianna Tibbs, Director for Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners, Microsoft Philippines
