Good news to all prepaid card users – the validity of prepaid card credits or load has been extended to one year. The said circular will take effect on January 5, 2018 and was signed by Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, DICT officer-in-charge Eliseo Rio Jr. and NTC commissioner Gamaliel Cordoba.
“We came up with a realistic solution… the one-year expiry date is very safe for consumers because that one year assures that they will be able to use the load,” said Rio.
Telecom companies said they will abide by government guidelines.
