For users to get rid of unwanted messages, Snapchat announced that they will be introducing a new feature called ‘Clear Chats’ that will let users delete accidental messages.
In a report by Techspot.com, the feature will act as a message delete function which can be accessed by tapping on a content a user has sent such as audio, text, and videos, and press the large purple ‘delete’ button.
Though users will not be able to edit or ‘unsend’ the message, the users in the conversation will not know the content of the message, not unless they have viewed it beforehand.
The users will also be informed that a content has been deleted.
The release date of the feature is set to be announced but is expected to roll out in the coming weeks.
