Google is working on a new OS called Fuchsia

Google already has a slew of operating systems like Android and Chrome OS, but it is still planning to add another one and it’s called Fuchsia.

According to reports, Fuchsia is an open source operating system that’s created to scale wide range of platforms like Internet of Things devices, phones and PCs. Not much is known about this OS aside from the fact that its kernel has grown up OS features, and supports both advanced graphics and 64-bit Intel-based PCs. At the heart of Fuchsia is Google’s own Dart programming language.

Google’s Travis Geiselbrecht said that the OS will soon run on the Raspberry Pi3.

Currently, Fuchsia is only seen as an experiment that could lead to bigger efforts but it might make sense since Google is branching out into making smart household devices like Google Home.
