Apple adds a new feature that improves the security of iMessage and FaceTime. These two services now offer an option of two-factor authentication in every Apple devices (iPhone, iPad and Mac PC).
With the two-factor authentication, users are required to use a second security code aside from their usual name and password login. This feature adds an extra layer of protection from hackers who stole private message on iMessage, and pretend to be someone else using other people’s FaceTime.
The two-factor authentication uses codes sent through text message to the users, allowing them to register their devices. More than one phone number can be associated with the account and there is also a recovery key that can be used for emergencies.
