Apple releases fix for issue causing the iPhone 15 to run hot

Apple has released a software update to fix an issue that was causing the new iPhone 15 to run hotter than expected. Some users had complained that their devices were getting too hot to hold after only a few minutes of use.

The update, iOS 17.0.3, was released on October 7, 2023. It includes a fix for the overheating issue, as well as other bug fixes and performance improvements.

Apple has not yet released any details about the specific software bug that was causing the overheating issue. However, the company has said that the problem is not related to the iPhone 15’s new processor or titanium casing.

Users who are experiencing overheating issues with their iPhone 15 are encouraged to update to iOS 17.0.3 as soon as possible. To update your device, simply go to Settings > General > Software Update.
