Tech company Apple is reportedly dropping LCDs from its iPhone line and is fully switching to OLED in 2020.
According to an article by mashable.com, The Wall Street Journal reported that Apple’s LCD screen supplier Japan Display is struggling due to disappointing iPhone XR sales— the only iPhone that has LCD screen among the 2018 line up.
Apple earlier dismissed disappointing speculations about the iPhone XR, saying that has been the “most popular iPhone every day” since its release in October 2018.
Amid its claims about the unit, Apple recently stopped disclosing unit sales numbers in its financial reports.
