Bumble has introduced a way to let users ‘meet’ before their actual meet up with their matches as it rolled out its new video chat and call options without having to exchange numbers.
In a report published by Digital Trends, the dating app has added the video chat and call features which will only appear for users who match with another.
The video and phone icon will appear on the upper right hand corner of the users’ conversation with women, having the choice to make the ‘first move’. Men, meanwhile, can only use the feature a lady match initiated a video chat or voice call. If ever users get unmatched, they will lose access to the features.
The voice and video call features are available to the app’s Bumble Date, Bumble BFF, and Bumble Bizz sections.
The feature is primarily introduced to create a safer place among users, giving them more options to get to know their match better without giving away their numbers and before meeting up in person.
