Activision Blizzard confirmed that “an entirely new campaign” will be featured in “Call of Duty” game slated for 2019.
In a report by Forbes, the management revealed some details about the upcoming game with the still unknown name, saying that the new game will appeal in both existing and new fans, considering it as “a great step forward in the franchise”.
Rob Kostich, President of Activision, said during the company’s earnings call: “It’s going to feature an entirely new campaign, a huge and expansive multiplayer world, and of course some fun co-op gameplay. But from day 1, what gets me really excited, is every time we’ve shown this title internally, it just creates a ton of buzz. Now I wish I could tell you a lot more right now but unfortunately you’re gonna have to wait, but I think it’s going to be really worth it. We can’t wait to share with the world.”
Amid “high expectations” for the game, Activision said that they are predicting lower sales than 2018’s Black Ops 4.
Meanwhile, rumors has it that the Call of Duty 2019 game will be Modern Warfare 4 from Infinity Ward.
