An email was sent by the National Public Radio (NPR) to its exclusive members regarding the availability of the public radio network’s podcasts on Google Play.
According to an article from an internal NPR email obtained by Android Police, the platform is set to launch on the Google App this April 18, 2016, almost 6 months after their first announcement last October 2015.
“Google will launch podcasts on Android and other platforms next Monday, April 18, inside of Google Play Music, a streaming service similar to Apple Music.” A part of NPR’s email where it also noted that the information sent should not be disclosed or promoted externally.
In relation to this, however, many people have been waiting to see access expand to everyone since it only seen to go live inside the Android application at one point or another. It is proven that Google has been testing the launching of this podcast which had set a little false alarm when writer Bill Simons tweeted and immediately deleted where he said that the Podcast will be available in the later part of last February which obviously did not happen. Should it happen this April 18, fans should just wait if the good news would really happen.
