Instagram introduced a new featured called “Co-Watching” which enables users to view photos and videos on the app while video chatting with their friends. This is the company’s effort to connect people but at the same time keeping them safe given the COVID-19 situation worldwide.
Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, told journalists the new “co-watching” feature allows people to connect around online content while video chatting. “We can play a role in helping to sort of combat that loneliness,” he said.
