Microsoft Excel introduced new updates on is latest Android app including a feature that will let users take photo of a printed table and convert it into a digital, editable spreadsheet in the app.
In a report by engadget.com, the said feature is available to Microsoft 365 subscribers and will soon be rolled out on iOS.
The said feature labeled “Insert Data from Picture” uses image recognition technology in identifying the information on the photo and convert it into an editable Excel spreadsheet in the app.
The analog to digital conversion is just one of the features Microsoft is currently working on as it aims to include more machine learning models into its products.
Microsoft also added the new security tools for Microsoft 365 products such as the Authenticator app for users’ security concerns.
