There are key differences in personalities between iPhone and Android users, according to a team of psychology researchers from the University of Lincoln, Lancaster University, and the University of Hertfordshire.
In their research titled “Predicting Smartphone Operating System from Personality and Individual Differences,” it was revealed that iPhone owners “are more likely to be female, younger, and increasingly concerned about their smartphone being viewed as a status object.”
The research adds that that iPhone owners display lower levels of honesty and higher levels of emotionality compared to Android users.
In order to get the results, the researchers surveyed 240 participants about stereotypes associated with iPhone and Android users. Then, they tested the stereotypes against actual personality traits of 530 iPhone and Android owners.
