Instant messaging service Snapchat announced on Saturday (September 24, 2016) that it will launch video-catching sunglasses called Spectacles.
The California-based company, who now goes by the name of Snap Inc., describes Spectacles as sunglasses with an integrated video camera that makes it easy to create Memories.
By introducing Spectacles, Snap Inc. said in a post that they want users to go back and see their memory the way they experienced it.
The company says that Spectacles contain one of the world’s smallest video cameras, which is capable of taking a day’s worth of Snaps on a single charge.
The device connects directly to Snapchat via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and transfers Memories directly in the app.
Spectacles will roll out soon with an expected price of $130.
