Social networking site Twitter confirmed that it is testing a new feature called “Hide Tweet” which can let users hide unwanted replies to their tweets.
According to a report by cnbc.com, the feature was uncovered by coder Jane Manchun Wong showing an option of hiding a tweet instead of muting, blocking, or reporting the reply or the user.

A “View Hidden Tweets” tool will then be visible to others once a tweet has been hidden.
Michelle Yasmeen Haq, senior product manager at Twitter confirmed that they are developing the “Hide Tweet” and “View Hidden Tweets” controls as part of its efforts to promote “healthy” conversations on the platform.
Haq wrote in a Twitter post: “6/8 With this feature, the person who started a conversation could choose to hide replies to their tweets. The hidden replies would be viewable by others through a menu option. It will look a little something like this:”
