After months of speculation, Vivo Philippines finally launched the Vivo V5 Plus, which serves as the newest flagship model of Vivo, the top five global smartphone premium brand.
According to the company, the V5 Plus is equipped with the most advanced selfie technology, which makes it ideal for today’s selfie age, when millennials and adults alike enjoy sharing selfies on social media.
The V5 Plus has the world’s first-ever dual front-facing camera, consisting of a primary 20-megapixel IMX376 camera and a secondary 8-megapixel camera that can collect depth-of-field information for improved self-portrait quality.
The advanced selfie technology of V5 Plus is also equipped with a ‘bokeh’ effect, a background-blurring photography filter, complemented by Vivo’s enhanced face beauty algorithm and ‘selfie soft light.’
In addition, the V5 Plus has a 16-megapixel rear camera, superior AK4376 sound system, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, a Qualcomm 625 processor, and a Funtouch 3.0 operating system, based on Android 6.0.
Style-wise, the V5 Plus features a 5.5-inch large display, with an ultra-slim bezel technology. The display is made of 5th generation Coring Gorilla glass.
Meanwhile, Vivo announced that basketball superstar Stephen Curry will serve as the official endorser of V5 Plus. Curry is the official endorser of all Vivo phones.
