Samsung is delaying the release of its flagship Galaxy S8 smartphone, said a report from Reuters.
Samsung mobile head Koh Dong-jin told Reuters that the Galaxy S8 would not be launched at the annual Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona, Spain on February 27. It should be noted that previous Galaxy S smartphones were launched during the big event.
The announcement came after the South Korean company revealed the cause behind the Galaxy Note 7 incidents. To avoid a repeat of battery fire incidents, Samsung said that new safety measures have been added including the 8-Point Battery Safety Check and the formation of a battery advisory group.
