Samsung introduced their latest phone offering ‘Galaxy S8’ with facial recognition as one of its features. Bascially it allows users to unlock the phone just by looking into the front-facing camera.
But the said feature was compromised by bypassing the feature by using a photo.
After the video was published, a Samsung spokesperson told Business Insider in a statement that facial recognition isn’t intended to be a secure feature. It’s just a way to open your phone to the home screen.
