Windows 10 now available in 190 countries

People and organizations across the globe can now do great things with Cortana, Microsoft Edge, new Office Universal apps and more as Microsoft makes Windows 10 available in 190 countries. This is a free upgrade for eligible Windows 7 and 8.1 devices or with new PCs and tablets.

“Windows 10 is designed to empower people to achieve great things and to deliver a more human way to do. Further, it builds on our vision of offering our consumers a more personal and natural computing experience that offers unmatched mobility and a tailored experience across devices,” said Mae Moreno, Windows Lead for Microsoft Philippines.

Windows 10 is the most secure Windows ever. It is kept automatically up-to-date with innovations and security update. It features enhancements to Windows defender and SmartScreen to help safeguard against viruses, malware and phishing. It also features a new innovation called Windows Hello that offers a fast, secure, password-free way to log in.

Windows 10 is more personal and productive. It allows voice, pen and gesture inputs for natural interaction with PCs. It offers a range of innovative experiences and devices including the personal digital assistant Cortana, the Microsoft Edge browser, built-in apps like Photos, Maps, Groove and One Drive, the Microsoft Phone Companion app, and Office Mobile apps.

In line with the launched of the Windows 10, Microsoft also revamps its Windows Store. It houses free and paid apps, games, movies, TV shows and music. It is the only store where people can use Cortana to control apps with their voice and get real-time notifications on their app tiles. Microsoft also released a new Windows Software Development Kit to open its door to new and innovative app experience on Windows 10.
