YouTube recently announced that they are bringing the livestreaming feature to their mobile app.
In their official blog post, the global video-sharing website said that they intend “to bring the power of live video to creators everywhere.” They are also looking to expand this function to every YouTube users.
Once the said feature is in full effect, YouTube users won’t have to download new apps or create accounts because it will combine directly into the YouTube mobile experience.
“YouTube mobile live streaming will be baked right into the core YouTube mobile app,” stated Kurt Wilms, product lead of immersive experiences at YouTube.
However, live video streaming is initially only available for some popular channels, like The Young Turks, AIB and Alex Wassabi.
