Dropbox starts limiting free accounts to three linked devices

Unlike the previous ‘unlimited’ devices which can be linked to Dropbox accounts, the company has started to limit free accounts to only three devices to which users could sync data as of March 2019.

In Dropbox‘s help page, a new rule has been rolled out as basic users now have a three device limit while Plus and ‘Professional users can still link unlimited devices.

Meanwhile, Business users can link unlimited devices, but Advanced and Enterprise Dropbox Business admins have the call to limit the number of devices that their teams can link.

Once basic users reach their limit but wish to add another device, they can unlink devices they do not want on their account and replace it with another, as long as there are only three linked devices to their account.
