Instagram patches flaw in Private Accounts

Quartz recently discovered a flaw in private accounts on Instagram. In a post entitled “Your private Instagrams weren’t as private as you thought they were”, they revealed that people can see images posted from the default public Instagram account even when a user decided to make his account private thereafter.

Instagram address this problem by issuing an update that keeps all Instagram photos private even before a user change his public account to a private account. The photos will only be visible to the user’s followers unless he shares the image on his other social networking site such as Facebook or Twitter.
