Messaging app WhatsApp was reportedly partially blocked by China preventing its users in sending text messages, photos and videos. This is part of China’s censorship crackdown. WhatsApp is owned by Facebook.
In a report published by New York Times, users said they are experiencing difficulties in using the popular messaging app.
The latest action is part of the country’s intensified online crackdown and a new cybersecurity law that was implemented last June 2017.
