Micron and Western Digital’s SanDisk brand both unveiled the world’s 1-terabyte microSD cards at the Mobile World Congress.
According to a report by The Verge, Micron and SanDisk launched their UHS-I microSDXC products with 160MB/s read speed for the latter versus the former’s 100MB/s. The Micronn card, meanwhile, is 5MB/s faster in terms of max write performance at up to 95MB/s.
Apart from the 1TB card, SanDisk also launched its new 512GB card in the same line.
The SanDisk 1TB card will be released from April for $449.99 while the 512GB card will retail at $199.99.
Meanwhile, the Micron card will be available in the second quarter of this year.
