Apple unveils new features for iOS 12 including Memoji, Group FaceTime, tech addiction tool

Apple has a lot of new features to add to their next-generation mobile software iOS 12 as CEO Tim Cook unveiled the preview of the software’s developments for the iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch during the annual World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Jose, California.

AS reported by money.cnn.com, the iOS 12 is set to have features such as an animated version of the user and a tech addiction tool to combat device addiction.

One of the upcoming features is the Memoji for iPhone X users which lets you create an Animoji that looks like you. Users can customize the physical features of the Animoji that will recreate their head and face movements just like other Animojis in Messages.

Another is the Tech addiction tool that will track the time the user is spending with the device and how they spend it through a daily breakdown.

Users can also enjoy group video chats in FaceTime with up to 32 people whom they can talk to directly from Messages. The Mesages camera will also be getting new effects such as filters, shapes and stickers.

For Mac users, the new macOS Mojave will add a dark mode that will make backgrounds black and gray and will let users view their computers during the night or inside a dark room.

There will also be Desktop Stacks that sorts random files by categories to declutter messy desktops without having to delete.
