Google Home now lets users shop items with voice

Google is updating the Google Home smart speaker with a new convenient feature that will allow users to shop for items without needing to go to a grocery store.

According to a Google blog post, Google Home owners can now command the Google Assistant on the smart speaker to buy items from participating Google Express retailers in the US. They can start their shopping by saying “Ok Google, how do I shop? or “Ok Google, order paper towels.”

Google said that Google Home owners will just need to set their default credit card and delivery address on the Google Home app to start shopping by voice. They won’t be required to pay additional fees until April 30, 2017.
