The Philippines is the sixth country that will be included in the Android One program. This is Google’s initiative to provide the power of Android in entry-level smartphones that are accessible to as many people possible.
Google collaborates with Cherry Mobile and MyPhone to deliver the Android One to the Filipino people. These two Filipino mobile brands will release the Cherry Mobile One and MyPhone Uno in the coming weeks.
These Android smartphones feature 4.5-inch FWVGA display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, Dual SIm, 2-megapixel front camera, 5-mgapixel rear camera, and Android Lollipop operating system. Cherry Mobile One will be available with 8GB storage while MyPhone Uno comes with a 4GB memory. Both are expandable up to 32GB.
These Android One smartphones will also be available in post-paid plans of local telecommunications company such as Globe, Smart and Sun Cellular.
