Facebook-owned photo sharing platform Instagram introduced a new feature that will let users know if their friends are online.
According to a report by techspot.com, Instagram’s feature will show users a green dot next to their profile picture in your friend list and Direct inbox, indicating that they are online and are available to chat.
Status updates will be seen from friends that also follow you or people you have spoken to via Direct. The feature can be disabled in the settings menu.
Aside from the activity status feature, Instagram has earlier introduced video chat hat can be participated by up to four people.
