After announcing the company’s plans on creating a new feature for longer videos, Instagram has finally unveiled IGTV, a standalone app for long-format videos.
As reported by Techspot.com, Instagram’s new IGTV which which it unveiled in a media event in San Francisco will allow video uploads with the length of up to one hour.
IGTV which is also accessible in the Instagram app allows long footage that are shot and displayed vertically. Videos will then start playing once the app is opened without the need to search.
Initially meant as a platform for celebrities and creators, Instagram is also letting any user share long videos through IGTV.
