NVIDIA launches its ‘most advanced streamer,’ the new Shield TV

At the recent Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017, NVIDIA unveiled the new Shield TV, an advanced Android media streamer built for streaming, gaming, and AI.

According to NVIDIA, the new Shield TV offers consumers “the richest visual experience” with 4K HDR support and a catalog of 4K content from Amazon, Netflix, YouTube, Google Play Movies, and VUDU.

The company also claims that the new Shield TV delivers the richest library of game content including Watch Dogs 2, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, For Honor, and upcoming natively-built games like The Witness, and Tomb Raider.

Meanwhile, NVIDIA said that the Shield TV will be expanded with a series of AI capabilities in the coming months, including the hands-free Google Assistant integration and SmartThings Hub technology.

The new Shield TV, which includes a controller and remote, is now available for pre-order at a price of $199.99.
