The company claims that the model’s AI-assisted camera is the best they have produced, scoring 105 in DxOMark’s Photo benchmark.
Mi 8 also has an Explorer Edition with a transparent back panel. It features an in-display fingerprint sensor as well as a 3D face recognition, and an 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The Mi 8 is reported to be the first phone to use dual-frequency GPS, making its navigation accuracy three to five times higher with both L1 and L5 bands as claimed by Xiaomi.
The smartphone will be launched in China on June 5 priced at $420 to $577.
