D-Link launches sharecenter

D-Link International Pte Ltd, one of the world’s biggest suppliers of networking products today announced the launch of the D-Link ShareCenter™ Quattro 4-Bay Network Storage (DNS-345). Designed to provide SOHO users and tech-savvy consumers with a professional-grade back up for their music, films and multimedia content, the DNS-345 enables owners to expand storage capacity through the addition of up to four internal 3.5-inch SATA drives.

Providing a superior performance to typical consumer NAS products, the ShareCenter™ Quattro features a 1.6GHz CPU that delivers faster read/write speeds, meaning delays while streaming or sharing content on the home network are a thing of the past. The ShareCenter™ Quattro also boasts 512MB RAM and support for a variety of RAID levels which deliver increased performance and reduce the chance of losing valuable content in the event of hard drive failure. Consumers can choose from a range of backup options, including ‘the cloud’ with Amazon S3, and backup from PC to NAS, USB to NAS and vice versa, in addition to sharing digital content with other D-Link ShareCenter™ products. The built-in DLNA-certified Media Server and iTunes Server make this the perfect complement for prolific consumers of multimedia digital content.

Mr Desmond Toh, Marketing Director, D-Link International Pte Ltd commented, “We know that when consumers really treasure their digital content and are downloading or creating large volumes, they demand very high performance, high capacity networked storage. Whether you are a film aficionado, amateur photographer, DJ or AV enthusiast, you need to be able to easily share, store and protect your content, and access it from anywhere – NAS solutions therefore need to be straightforward to install and use, as well as providing maximum security. We have blended our expertise in enterprise and consumer NAS to design a solution that can fit into a wider wireless network infrastructure in the Digital Home. This latest investment marks our commitment to ensure that there is a NAS product to meet every consumer’s capacity and usage requirements, regardless of their level of technical knowledge.”
